I often find myself wanted to see the time as well as thte date of the new posting to see if I've already gone there and read it. How much trouble is that and would anyone else find that useful?

I guess Frank would have to determine how hard it would be to add, but it's a good idea. I work till midnight three days a week and check the site when I get home, so I am oftren checking posts that are dated for the day before. Most of them I have already checked, so being able to see the time of the last post would be helpful.

It's a little bit of a pain to add the time. However...I can look into it. However..I'm curious if you guys use the function on the opening page of the forum for "new posts" which will pull up only the new items since your last visit. Also, do you go by the icons for the posts which change color to indicate if there are unread items since your last visit?

Actually..let me correct my last statement. The icons and "new posts" link are any items you haven't seen...not just since your last visit.

I don't know why, but I often check to see when someone posted something on other forums and I noticed it was not here. I can't say what it benefits me, just that I look at that. I do use the colors of the icons, but I don't read every post. If I have checked something and it is not a topic I am concerned with, (specific issue that applies only to a specific brand or setup that I am not using) then I don't keep track of it. Too much other learning going on at this time.
